A Message from Mrs. Phillips

April 15, 2020

Dear MMS Parents and Students:

I am sure you have heard the news from Governor Reeves regarding our school closure for the remainder of the year.  I am deeply saddened that we will not be able to return to MMS this school year. However, please know that school is NOT over!  We encourage you to make the most of the remaining school year and continue to make us Jaguar Proud!

Your teachers are continuing to plan lessons via Canvas and have their conference times to meet with you throughout the week.  There will continue to be paper packets in the front of the school for those who do not have access to internet or a computer.  Please reach out to your teachers as needed through email or Canvas.

MMS students have a lot to look forward to in the days ahead. You’ll be choosing your electives for your next school year (more information coming soon). You’ll also be seeing your classmates recognized for Awards Day; including Jag Pride awards, Honor Roll, Perfect Attendance, and Highest Average for each class. Also, pay attention to the grade-level Canvas page to see your classmates’ birthdays each day.

If you are not already following our social media pages, please do so at “Madison Middle Jaguars PTO” for Instagram and Facebook. Also, check our school website regularly for updates.

We are so proud of you, as always!  We miss you dearly and cannot wait for the time when we will be able to meet again.  In the meantime, accept this air hug from your administrators, counselors, and teachers at MMS.  Know that you can make every day a great day to be a JAG!

Sincerely,

Leatha Phillips
