Madison County Schools celebrates earning the highest scores in Mississippi among large school districts on state testing. An A-rated district once again for 2023, Madison County Schools has earned an A rating every year since the letter-grade scoring system was implemented by the state, meaning this year marks the tenth consecutive A grade for the district. Campus-level performance in the district is the strongest in a decade, with every school in Madison County Schools earning either an A or B rating.

“We are thrilled to see the hard work of our students, faculty, and administrators come to fruition with such outstanding results. We are especially proud that every school in our district has earned an A or a B school-level grade. Students in every corner of Madison County are showing they are mastering lessons and are prepared for the next grade and next step on their academic journey. These results are testament to the dedication and hard work of our teachers in preparing students and our administrators in making sure teachers and students in each of our schools have the tools and support they need to succeed,” said Madison County Schools Superintendent Charlotte Seals.

The Mississippi Department of Education released the grade-level scores of districts and schools across the state at their Board meeting Thursday. 

Madison County Schools serves more than 13,000 students in grades pre-K through 12 on 23 campuses.
