My name is Neely Umphlett. I know what you are thinking... "How do you pronounce that last name??!!!" It's easy if you think about it like "Umflet". :)
I am a 1999 graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I began teaching in 1999 in Rankin County at Rouse Elementary in Brandon, MS. I taught 2nd grade for 5 years, and then I took a 7 year hiatus from teaching to be at home with my children. I returned to teaching in 2010, and I began teaching Kindergarten at Mannsdale Elementary School, which is one of the feeder schools for Germantown! I loved my time in kindergarten and adored those babies, but I felt God stirring my heart to work with older children. Five years ago, I began teaching 6th grade ELA at GMS! This year, I am moving up to 7th grade, so I will see lots of familiar faces this year!!!
Email is the best way to get in touch with me. :)
