    WELCOME -- PARENTS and STUDENTS to ELL (English Language Learner)

    I am excited about being your student's ELL teacher at Madison Avenue Upper Elementary.  I am at MAUE on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays as I serve East Flora Elementary on Wednesdays and Thursdays. My passion is working with your child to become English Language Proficient.  It will be my goal to provide your child with one on one teaching that will enable him/her to personally experience language learning.  I enjoy learning about your culture and welcome you to our school to share your culture.  If you have any questions, please contact me by email at any time                                                                                                                   

    Mrs. Bruce is the EL teacher for Madison Avenue Upper and East Flora Elementary and has been with MCSD for 21 years.  She received her Bachelor's degree in 2003 at Bethel College in McKenzie, TN.  She majored in Elementary Education with a minor in Child Learning and Development.  She received her Endorsement Certificate in English as a Second Language in 2006 at Mississippi College in Clinton, MS. As of December 2023, she obtained her National Board Certification.
