Principal's Message

Welcome to Luther Branson Elementary!  I am honored to serve as your principal. My commitment at Luther Branson Elementary is to provide a safe and academically challenging environment that will empower students to become innovative thinkers and lifelong learners. At LBE, we are always excited about student learning, student achievement, and student growth. We have many fun and exciting things planned for our students this year. Our school motto is " Every Family, Every Teacher, Every Child-Excellence Every Day" and we encourage our families, teachers and students to exhibit this excellence in their attitude, actions, and appreciation for learning. 

We are committed to making this school year a successful experience for every student-in person and virtual.  We firmly believe that a strong home and school relationship is a key factor for student success. Learning involves hard work by everyone-the principal, the teacher, the parent, but most importantly the student. Please don't hesitate to contact me and know that my door is always open. Working together, I know we will have another A⁺ year.

About the Principal

Mrs. Smith has served as principal of Luther Branson Elementary since July 2010. She has worked for Madison County School District since 2002 in the capacity of Algebra I teacher and Middle School Math Interventionist. From 2005-2009, she served as instructional specialist at Luther Branson. She was selected as MCSD Administrator of the Year in 2014 and 2021. Mrs. Smith is recognized as a National Distinguished Principal through the National Institute of School Leadership (NISL).

Mrs. Smith and her husband enjoy spending time with their daughter and all things Green Bay Packers and MSU.
