Pathways - Intellectually Gifted Program
Madison Station Elementary students are screened in 1st and 2nd grades for entrance to Pathways. The mission of the Pathways program is to offer to intellectually gifted learners those differentiated learning experiences which will meet their special needs.
Speech Language Therapy
Speech pathologist at Madison station specializes in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders, cognition, and voice disorders. They work to serve students by providing speech therapy and frequent communication with parents to ensure student success.
Madison Station Elementary serves a variety of students. Students who are evaluated and determined to be eligible for Special education are educated in a way that addresses their individual differences and needs. A committee including teachers and parents work together to develop an Individualized Education Plan to ensure special education students receive instruction specific to their needs.
Students at Madison Station Elementary speak a variety of home languages. Our English Language Learners are provided with a network of support. A certified teacher with special training in language acquisition works with English language learners to help them acquire fluency in English, both spoken and written.
Madison Station Elementary students in Grades 2 through 5 may enroll in our year long String Instruments program. A strings instructor offers small-group lessons once each week. In the process, children develop good work habits and improve their ability to collaborate and cooperate in groups.
From keyboarding and recorders to our singing our Madison Central High School Jaguar Fight Song and more our music teachers bring a little rhythm and beat to our days! Students in Grades K-5 visit music class once weekly.
Artist studies, mixed mediums and more our art class is a time to let that inner artist shine. Students in Grades 3-5 participate in art class once weekly.
Create, Collaborate, Communicate and Critical Thinking are what computer class is all about at Madison Station! Students in Grades K-5 visit computer class once weekly.
Physical Education plays an integral role in our school days. Our well-rounded program focuses on health, wellness and physical fitness. Students in Grades K-5 visit physical education class once weekly. We ask, for safety reasons, that students wear tennis shoes on their assigned physical education day.
Encourage students to travel and learn through the love of literature. Students visit our Madison Station Elementary library twice weekly.
