    Greetings Students and Parents!

     About the Teacher

NUMBER OF YEARS TEACHING EXPERIENCE: This is my 18th year teaching.

NUMBER OF YEARS TEACHING AT MADISON MIDDLE:  This year begins my 16th year at Madison Middle.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND: I graduated from Mississippi College in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary. I obtained my Master's from Mississippi College in English Education in 2005. In 2010 I earned my Master's from the University of Southern Mississippi in School Counseling.

OTHER EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES: I taught two years at St. Joseph Catholic School in Madison. While there I taught Science and Literature and was the assistant junior high basketball coach.

CERTIFICATIONS: In 2008, I earned the honor of Nationally Board Certified teacher.

SUBJECTS TAUGHT: I have taught Written Communications, Gifted, Science, Literature, English, and ICT. I am also a Student Council Sponsor.

HOBBIES: Before having children I enjoyed making pottery and jewelry. I also really enjoyed volunteering at Madison's animal shelter! Gardening is one of my very favorite things to do. I enjoy growing both flowers and vegetables.

FAVORITES: I love coffee, Mexican food, music, being outside, and animals.

FAMILY INFORMATION: My husband and I have two wonderful children who keep us very busy!  We have a 7 year old son named Paxton and a 5 year old girl named Annie. I'm a sucker for animals so therefore two dogs, three cats, two lizards and a fish have managed their way into our home. I love my home family and my work family. Thank you for trusting your children with me!

    Setting up your ICT Binder

Each student should have a section in any binder. I encourage you to share your ICT binder with another class
to cut down on stuff you carry in your backpack.
Students may clean out their binder as each nine weeks has ended.
