Welcome Message

My name is Rebecca (Becky) Shirley and I teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math learning strategies. I started teaching in February, 2005.  I grew up in Cottenville, a small community outside of Senatobia, MS.  After high school, I attended Blue Mountain College and graduated with a B.S. in Business and a minor in Bible.  After many years of working in the community, I believe that God had a different plan for me. The plan was for me to teach!  I also have a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State.

Last March, I married my wonderful, loving husband, Bard!  We enjoy traveling, watching/attending sporting events, and attending church and church activities.

I have two grown children (both boys).  My oldest is married and lives in Huntsville, and my youngest is also married and lives in Madison.  I have two grand children, Elisa (2 years old) and her bother Harrison (1 year old)
