Welcome to American History! I am excited about working with you this year!
I majored in History and minored in Political Science and Psychology at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Several years later, I moved to Atlanta, Georgia and attended Kennesaw State University where I became certified to teach gifted students. While in Atlanta, my interests turned toward using innovative technology in the classroom, so I enrolled at Lesley University in Boston, Massachusetts. It was there that I received a Masters degree in Classroom Technology. This is my 25th year teaching eighth grade, and I am excited to be a Jaguar!
When I’m not in the classroom, I love to play with my dogs and horses, work in my flower garden, and visit with my grandchildren. Our farm in the county allows us to have plenty of room for our dogs and horses. The dogs, Bailey, Libby and Bunty enjoy playing with the horses...sometimes I think they think they're horses too! They love to swim in the pond and play with their toys. I have 6 grandchildren ranging in ages from 21 years, to 3 years. My grandchildren love coming to visit and ride their new pony, Jasper.
My goals for this year are to help you succeed and be the best student that you can be! With our combined efforts, you will succeed. I’m looking forward to a great year!
