Hi! I’m Mrs. Edie Evans, and I am excited to be your child’s teacher this year. Learning Strategies is designed to give students an extra boost in test taking skills, which in turn increases confidence in Math and ELA. Mrs. Leah Addison and I co-teach the course; she teaches ELA and I teach math. This is our 10^th year to offer Learning Strategies, and we have had great results!

I write specific lesson plans for each student based upon needs indicated on state test scores, and I encourage growth through positive interaction and one-on-one instruction. This elective class is NOT study hall or a time to do make-up work & homework. Your child will receive the academic support he/she needs to be successful and improve standardized scores. We also focus on organization; you can expect to see your child keep a planner with all assignments and announcements. Students whose parents sign their planners on a daily basis receive an extra reward.
