Principal Brent Cofield
Mr. Cofield has been in education for 27 years with the last 19 here in the Madison County School District. This is his second year as the principal of the Academic Options Center. He was an assistant principal at MMS for 14 years. Mr. Cofield has also worked as a teacher/coach at Clinton, Southern Arkansas University, Hernando and Madison Ridgeland Academy.
Mr. Cofield earned his bachelor’s degree from Mississippi College (1989) in secondary education. He also has a master’s degree from Southern Arkansas University (1993) in kinesiology and Mississippi College (2003) in education leadership.
Mr. Cofield has been married to Stacy Cofield for 23 years and they have three children: Morgan is a sophomore at Ole Miss, Josh is a senior at Madison Central and Ryan is a freshman at Rosa Scott. He likes spending time with his family, going to ballgames and playing golf.
