Welcome to Germantown Middle School Library!
Hello, I am Melissa Rogers, and this is will be my 16th year to teach in Madison County School District. I taught for 11 years in Tennessee before moving to Mississippi in 2002. I graduated from Austin Peay State University in Tennessee with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Elementary Education, and received my Master's Degree in Administration & Supervision and Library Science degree from Middle Tennessee State University. Germantown Middle School Media Center strives to empower, inspire, and support learners in the art of inquiry and discovery as they become critical thinkers, skillful researchers, and responsible users and producers of ideas and information. The media center strives to provide an environment that promotes student success in today's technology-driven society, and fosters independent lifelong learners and readers.
Library Policies for Students
The library is open Monday-Friday mornings from 7:45-8:15, and throughout the day for checkout and/or computer usage.
Students may check out 2 books at a time for up to 14 days. Books may be renewed, but students must bring the book in with them to do so
If a book is lost or damaged, the student is responsible for the replacement cost of that book
We have 12 desktop computers and a printer that students may use for school work
- 8th graders that may be experiencing problems with their chromebook may visit the library each morning from 7:45-8:45 to fill out a work order.
