    The 2023-2024 school year is my 28th year teaching high school English in Mississippi and the 18th year I have been teaching at Madison Central. I have taught Creative Writing, English II, English III, Accelerated English III, English IV, AP Language and Composition, and AP Literature and Composition.

    I earned my Bachelor's degree in English from Mississippi State University and my Master's degree from the University of Mississippi. I am a National Board Certified Teacher and am currently working on my dissertation for a Ph.D. in English, emphasis in Rhetoric and Composition, from Texas A&M University, Commerce.  

    My eldest daughter graduated from MCHS in 2018 and graduated from the Honor's College at Ole Miss in 2022. She is currently working at WLBT. My younger daughter graduated from MCHS in 2020 and is a senior at Mississippi State University majoring in Fine Arts. This year, my son is attending the 7th grade at MMS and he is the coolest kid I know. :)
