    I am Mrs. Holden, your 6th Grade Language Arts teacher for the (2023-2024) school year. I am originally from Lexington, MS, a small town outside of Jackson, MS.  I am so eager to teach you and learn about each and everyone of you as my new scholars. I have taught for five years, this year being my sixth. English Language Arts is and was my favorite subject in grade school and college, so I chose to major in it. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, watching movies, crossword puzzles and traveling. My goal is to help you gain confidence in your ability to read, write, communicate, listen and enhance public speaking skills. This year will be filled with a variety of lessons to expand your reading comprehension, writing and language skills. I will always be here to help you, every step of the way.
