Hello everyone!!!! Welcome to our Third Grade ELA/Social Studies Family!!
My name is Octavia Jackson and I will be your child's ELA/Social Studies Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. We are beginning our brand-new school year, and I am over the moon excited! This will begin my tenth year as an educator, and my second year at Madison Crossing!! I am looking forward to having you and your child apart of my Lemonland family. Third grade is such an important year for your child, but know every day will be filled with love, laughter, learning, and life!
In order to have an amazing year together, my most important goal is to create a family of learners in my classroom. I am committed to creating a classroom environment where your child feels safe, loved, and valued; a classroom where your child's voice matters and their collective and individual learning growth is at the top of my list.
In order to accomplish this, your child will experience a variety of hands-on, student-centered, engaging activities to emphasize and reinforce this goal. It is my hope that you will continue to support and encourage this vision at home.
