Hello all, I am Matt Crowder, and I am entering my first year teaching Business Education and coaching baseball at Germantown High School. I am a Madison native and a 2017 Madison Central graduate. I played college baseball at Hinds Community College and Blue Mountain College.I have a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and a Masters in Business Administration, both from Blue Mountain College. I have spent the previous two years coaching college baseball, 2022 at Blue Mountain and 2023 at East Central Community College.
I have grown up in Madison County Schools my whole life. Both of my siblings are also graduates of Madison Central. My brother was a teacher and coach in the district for 6 years. My mother has recently retired from Madison County Schools with over 25 years of teaching in the district. I come from a family full of educators and look forward to bringing what I have learned from them into my own classroom.
I will be teaching Accounting, CCR-A, and Personal Finance while coaching the 9th grade and high school baseball teams. I have a lifetime of experience in the game of baseball and education in general. I have learned business from CEOs and VPs of corporations, highly-touted sales people, and numerous entrepreneurs. I have played baseball with numerous MLB Draft picks and Division 1 players. I have won championships as a player and coach and look forward to winning the first baseball State Championship at Germantown. Go MAVS!
