Hello Jaguar families! I am beyond excited to serve as your assistant principal at East Flora Elementary. I believe it is important to work together to help every child reach his or her full potential. I look forward to a year full of building new relationships and supporting our students academically, socially, and emotionally so that each day of school is meaningful and marked by excellence.
This is my sixteenth year in education and all of my experience has been within Madison County Schools. I graduated from Belhaven College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I earned my Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Mississippi College. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher. Most recently I served as a Literacy Specialist at Luther Branson Elementary and previously at Camden Elementary. My experience includes teaching first grade at Madison Station Elementary and kindergarten, first and second grades at Madison Crossing Elementary.
I grew up in Neshoba County. My husband, Mark, and I moved to Madison County over 25 years ago. Mark and I celebrated our 30th anniversary in May. We have been blessed with three children and a daughter-in-law and son-in-law; Tyler (Ashton), Chandler, and Karlea (Bo). Our family enjoys lots of family time by the pool and MS State football.
Let's get ready to make the 2023-2024 school year the best ever at EFE!!! Go Jags!
Please feel free to reach out if I can be of assistance.
