• Hello! My name is Sarah Hanna. This is my thirteenth year teaching but my second year at Madison Central; however, I graduated from here! I am so excited to be a Jag again! My husband and I were both raised in Madison. He is currently a corporal with the Flowood Police Department. We have three children: Kayla - 21, Lucas - 12, and Olive - 9.

Teaching is truly my passion and my calling!  I attended the University of Mississippi where I received my B.A. in Secondary English Education; I then attended Belhaven University where I received my M.A. Reading Literacy; I then attended Arkansas State University to receive my Ed.S. in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Curriculum Development. I currently attend McNeese State University where I am working toward my Ph.D. in Applied Behavior Analysis. I am also currently pursuing my National Board Certification.

Thank you for trusting me with your child's education! That is a commitment that I do not take lightly. My teaching philosophy has been summed up by educational pioneer, Professor James Comer, “No significant learning occurs without a significant relationship." When students feel respected and cherished by their teachers, they begin to value themselves. This leads to students feeling vested and encouraged in many aspects of their lives, namely: education.

Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions, comments, or concerns!
