    Mrs. Patience

    Class Dojo:

Hello! My name is Patience Harris. I am thrilled to be the new Pre-K teacher here at LBE. I am a recent graduate of Delta State University, where I majored in Elementary Education. I taught 6th grade last year, but Pre-K has always been my passion. I love reading and teaching children how to read. I am a reading tutor as well for students in the Brandon area. I believe that good reading habits lead to successful adults. As adults, we must make reading fun for our children. Students learn best when they enjoy the learning process. So, I plan to make learning fun and hands-on as often as possible. This is going to be a fantastic year!

I have been married for nearly 14 years to my husband, Rusty. We have a 12-year-old son who attends Brandon Middle School. We have a black lab named Stoick. He is named after Hiccup's Dad off the movie "How to Train Your Dragon", as we were huge fans at the time. As a family, we love spending time in the country on family land. We love day trips to our MS Gulf Coast. We attend Cruising the Coast every year in October. This was a tradition my dad started. We have a 1955 Chevrolet that my husband's great uncle used as a farm truck years ago that we take to car and truck shows.
