    Mrs. Patience

Hello! My name is Patience Harris. I am the Pre-K teacher here at Luther Branson. This will be my third year here at LBE. I graduated from Delta State University, where I majored in Elementary Education. I taught 6th grade for short time, but Pre-K has always been my passion. I love reading and teaching children how to read. I am a reading tutor as well for students in the Brandon area. I believe that good reading habits lead to successful adults. As adults, we must make reading fun for our children. Students learn best when they enjoy the learning process. So, I plan to make learning fun and hands-on as often as possible. I know this is going to be a fantastic year!

I have been married for nearly 16 years to my husband, Rusty. We have one son who will be going into 9th grade at Brandon High School this year. We have a black lab named Stoick. He is named after Hiccup’s Dad from the movie “How to Train Your Dragon”, as we were huge fans at the time. As a family, we love spending time in the country riding four wheelers and dirt bikes. We love day trips to our MS Gulf Coast. We also love going to Cruisin’ the Coast every October. We have a 1955 Chevrolet that my husband's great uncle used as a farm truck years ago that we take to car and truck shows. I also love to cook for family and friends.
