Luther Branson Elementary

Hello! My name is Candice Smith. This is my 4th year at Luther Branson Elementary as librarian, and I am so excited about being a Falcon! I am entering my 22nd year in education. Previously, I was an English teacher at Germantown High School. Prior to my years at GHS, I taught at East Flora for one year, and I spent 8 years teaching in Brookhaven, MS. I graduated from Texas A&M University and earned my master’s degree from the University of Phoenix. I LOVE to read, and my goal is for all students to see my excitement for books daily.

I am married to Cameron Smith, and we have 2 children. Our daughter, Allie, is a gifted teacher in MCS, and she is married to Cole Goza. They have a daughter, Maggie Hayes, who is 5 months old. Our son, Zachary, works in real estate with his dad, and he is married to Mary Beth, who teaches 6^th grade ELA in Wesson, MS. We enjoy following SEC sports, and the guys enjoy playing golf and hunting.
