I am SO excited to be a first-year Maverick, and I'm SO excited to have you in my class this year! As long as you're willing to do your BEST this year, I can promise that you WILL be successful in my class! Let's do this!
My name is Jennifer Wigginton, and I'll be teaching 7th grade ELA this year. I received my bachelor's degree in nutrition & dietetics from the University of Southern Mississippi, but leading children in a classroom has always been my "dream job"!
I taught middle- and high-school English several years ago before my children came along. Later, in addition to being a stay-at-home mom, I served as editor and columnist at Parents & Kids Magazine and taught preschool at Madison UMC Preschool. I'm super excited to be back in the middle-school classroom, and I'm ESPECIALLY excited to be here at Germantown Middle School! ☺
Although I'm originally from Meridian, MS, I have lived in Madison for over a decade. I have three precious children: Spencer (19) is a 2020 graduate of Madison Central and will be a student at the Mississippi Institute of Aesthetics, Nails, & Cosmetology this fall. Drew (17) is a senior at Madison Central and will be enlisting in the United States Army after graduation. Lily (15) is a sophomore at Madison Central. I also have a sweet little Yorkie-poo named Ginger! I'm a BIG Mississippi State fan as well. HAIL STATE!
