Hi! My Name is Coach Wilson, and I am so Excited to Teach You Biology I & AP Biology. This year at Ridgeland High School. More Importantly, I Am Thrilled to Be Your Teacher! It's Going to Be a Year Filled with Learning Through Science Investigations and Labs.
I am originally from the "Coast" of Mississippi. I attended Alcorn State University and Received a Degree in Biology. While I attended Alcorn State, I was a member of the track and field team. Upon receiving my degree, I started my teaching career at Jackson Public School. While teaching, I completed my alternate route program at the University of Mississippi to earn my teaching certificate. I've received a masters of education is S.T.E.M. ( science, technology, engineering, and math) from Mississippi College. I am currently completing my specialist in education leadership from Jackson State University. I serve as the science deparment chair and I currently serve as the Head Cheerleading & Assistant Dance Coach. I am also the Ridgeland High School science department chair.
This will be my ninth year teaching. Through my years, I have taught 7th grade science, Biology I, Physical Science and Human Anatomy & Physiology. I am a strong believer in STEM-based learning.
