Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year of 6^th grade Girls PE and 7^th/8^th Girls Fitness

I am very excited about teaching and coaching girls this year. I have been teaching for 10 years and this will be my 4^th year teaching and coaching here at GMS. Besides teaching 6^th grade girls PE and 7^th/8^th girls fitness, I also coach 7^th/8^th girls’ basketball, volleyball and track. I received my bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration from Belhaven University and earned my master’s degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation from Jackson State University.

I have been married to Montrel Taylor for 14 years. We have 3 beautiful daughters (Lyric, JaiSha, and Makenzie) and 2 beautiful granddaughters (Rhyleigh and Laiyah). I enjoy spending time with my family (especially my granddaughter’s), coaching with my husband, and traveling/watching my baby girl, Makenzie play volleyball. My husband and I also founded New Life Center of Worship Church in 2018, located in Pearl, MS.
