Greetings Titan Family!
I want to personally welcome you to another great year in education! It is my hope that your child walks away informed and inspired by something that I have shared in one of my classes.
My name is April Majors, I am a native of Jackson, Mississippi and a proud 1999 graduate of Murrah High School. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi College in Paralegal Studies in 2003. I continued my educational pursuits by earning a Masters in Business Management from Belhaven University in 2007. Professionally, I worked as a Paralegal in both the public and private sectors for over a span of 20 years.
I began my journey and calling in education right here at Ridgeland High School as a Media Assistant in 2019. In 2021, I earned a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Belhaven University. Currently, this is my fifth year in the classroom and I count it a distinct honor and a privilege to pour into the lives of our students here at Ridgeland High School. This school year I will be teaching Family Dynamics, Nutrition and Wellness, Child Development and Business Law. I am excited to see what this school year has in store and I look forward to partnering with your family to ensure that your child is successful. I possess a strong belief in servant leadership and the idea that we are called not just to get what we can out of life, but to use our gifts and talents to make this next generation better.
I am a current resident of Ridgeland and two of my children attend school here in the Madison County School District. My oldest child (Madison) was a 2020 graduate of Ridgeland High School. During my free time, I enjoy volunteering with my sorority chapter, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Rho Lambda Omega Chapter.
I am looking forward to another successful school year here in Titan Land!
