    Mrs Meyers with family

Welcome, ya'll! I'm excited about a great year in PAthways!

This will be my tenth year in the classroom, but I didn't start out as a teacher. I actually went to Mississippi College to obtain a Business Marketing degree and did event planning for a while. BUT...I knew my true passion was teaching!  I went on to receive a Master in Elementary Education, finally finding my niche in Gifted Education after receiving an endorsement from Mississippi University for Women in the specialty.  For the last three years, I've been staying home with my little love-bug, Trey, and also starting my enrichment camp business called WhizKids.  Why do I tell you all this? To show you that you can follow your passions and do anything you set your mind to! We'll do LOTS of that this year in PA!

Middle school is a great time for you to get to explore your long-time passions, current fascinations, and new ideas and perspectives. PAthways gives you the opportunity to do just that.  It will be fun, but it won't be easy...and that's ok! Let's get those brains sweating!!

A little more about me-when I'm not teaching, I'm probably enjoying time with my husband, Tony, and three-year-old, Trey.  I also love walking my dogs, Molli, Winnie, and Dak, attending Mississippi State games,  listening to a good book, napping, traveling, working in my garden (#coronagarden), going out to eat, singing Christmas songs, browsing Amazon, or watching reality TV.

This will probably be a year full of challenges and changes, but we will work together to build our character and make lemonade out of lemons.  I'm here as a resource, mentor, and support system for all of you.  I have my little guy at home, but I think of you as "my kids" too.  Please let me know if you need anything!
