• Hello! My name is Leigh Ann Ross and I will be teaching band (woodwinds) and color guard at MCHS and MMS. This will be my ninth year of teaching but first year at Madison Central. I couldn’t be more excited to join the jag family! Previously, I taught in the Rankin County School District as well as served as an adjunct color guard instructor for various high schools and colleges in Mississippi.

I am a native of Vicksburg, MS and graduate of Vicksburg High School. I received my Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Mississippi State University (Hail State!) and a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Belhaven University. While in college at MSU, I was co-founder of Statement Independent Winter Guard which is still successfully performing to this day.

When I’m not working, I enjoy being a dog mom to my 8 month old pup Windsor and the best Ala (Aunt Leigh Ann) to my niece SR!

I look forward to a successful first year at MCHS!
