Welcome to the Jungle!
Meet my husband, Trey, and the newest addition to our family, Covington but we call her Covie!
"Education is not the filling of a bucket, but the lighting of a fire."
- William Butler Yeats
I am so excited to be either your AP Biology, Biomedical Research, or Environmental Science teacher this year. This will be my ninth year in Madison County as a teacher; however, this will be my twelfth year teaching overall. I previously taught Biology and Biomedical Research at Ridgeland High School, Biology, and AP Biology at Laurel High School, and Human Anatomy and Physiology at Starkville High School. I graduated high school from Madison Central several years ago; needless to say, I am thrilled to be a jaguar, again! I also worked for a testing and consulting company writing science curriculums and testing items for the new 2018 Mississippi Science Standards, and 2015 Alabama Course of Study Science Standards, as well as practice passages and items for the Science Test portion of the ACT. I have an undergraduate degree from Mississippi State University in Kinesiology and Sports Communication/Marketing. I also have a Master of Arts in Teaching from The University of Women.
