    Me and my husband <3

Hello and Welcome! My name is Mrs. Ferrill and I am teaching English II and Acc. English II both in-person and virtually for the 2020-2021 school year. This is my first year with Madison County Schools and I couldn't be happier to have found my new home at Germantown High School. Go Mavricks!

I am married to my husband, Tommy, and we have just settled in our new home in Jackson. We have three children, ages 10, 5, and 3. We love family time, playing outside, gardening, football, and cooking! Tommy and I both enjoy making meals for our family and trying new recipes.

I received my BS in Lib. Arts from Ole Miss where I studied history and literature (my two passions!) and recently completed my MSE in Reading from Arkansas State. This year marks my 10th year in public education. I started my career in Desoto County where I taught 9th grade social studies and English. Most recently I served as intervention specialist and school test coordinator. I am now thrilled to be back in the classroom teaching and growing my students at GHS!

As an educator and life-long learner, I firmly believe that all students from all backgrounds have the ability to learn, grow, and succeed in their educational and personal pursuits. I believe that fluency in literacy is necessary for learners to capitalize on their learning and understanding in all academic fields. Furthermore, I believe it is my personal responsibility to support each student in their learning by providing tailored instruction appropriate for each individual's needs, by challenging students while simultaneously supporting them in their educational goals, and by providing resources and opportunities for further learning outside of direct instruction and support.
