Welcome to 3rd grade! This is my fourth year at MAUE, and my 12th teaching 3rd grade I'm so excited to be a Jaguar! 3rd grade is an exciting time where you will see a great deal of growth in your child. My goal this year is to help your child become an independent and responsible learner. The 3rd grade year continues to be a huge shift both academically and socially. I have lots of things planned and I can't wait to share them with your child!
I am originally from New York, where I got by Bachelor's Degree from the State University of New York at Oneonta. I have a Master's Degree in Reading curriculum and instruction. I've been teaching since 2006. I am married to a great guy for over 28 years and have had the opportunity to move over a dozen times and lived in 9 different states. My husband was in the Navy, and has since retired from that part of our lives, so I hope to stay in the Madison area for good long time. I spent most of my teaching career in Florida with a couple of years in Louisiana. I have two wonderful children, AJ is 24 and Jenna is 13. AJ is a successful tour guide and artist living in New Orleans. Jenna will be attending Rosa Scott this fall. We also have a sweet goldendoodle named Ben, who is my sidekick. I love walking him. He's always by my side! We moved to Madison in March 2020 and have been enjoying our time here.
