I am thrilled to be your child's inclusion teacher this year!
My name is Kristy Gandy. I have a wonderful family, and they are my pride and joy. My husband is Mr. Gandy. Fun fact: he teaches 2nd grade at MAE! We have two beautiful children, Evie and John Auden. Evie is in second grade, and John Auden is in kindergarten at Madison Avenue. One of my favorite things about my new adventure at MAUE is riding to school together as a family! :) We have a new puppy named Kit. She is precious and a handful all at the same time! We love her! I am origionally from Louisiana. We try to go visit as much as possible for a good Louisiana Saturday night with friends and family! For fun, I love going to Cyclocross bike races to cheer on my Gandy crew, rain or shine! I also really enjoy working out with friends and cooking.
This is my ninth year teaching, but it will be my first year here at MAUE. I have taught in two states, Mississippi and Louisiana. I am certified in both general and special education. I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Mississippi College, and my master's degree is from Ole Miss in Early Childhood Education. I love teaching and learning!
I am looking forward to meeting each of you and partnering with you for your child's education.
Mrs. Tice is our wonderful assistant this year!
