Mrs. Arista Evans, School Counselor
“To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.”
William G. Wilson
Hello, and Welcome to Camden Elementary School!
I am Arista Evans, and it is an honor and pleasure to serve as the School Counselor where we teach “Excellence without Excuses.” This is my eleventh year as an educator and fifteenth year as a school counselor. My mission as the School Counselor is to support all students, parents, faculty/staff, and community leaders in providing our students at Camden Elementary School with a compassionate and comprehensive learning environment through social, emotional, academic, and career learning in order to prepare them with the knowledge to build a good self-concept in order to make good choices and establish good study/work habits in order to become productive citizens of society. My school counseling program will provide individual, group, and classroom guidance. Individual and group counseling will focus on meeting the needs of the students. Classroom guidance lessons will focus on the Chick-fil-A Core Essential character values and pro-social skills. As a school, our goal is to focus on attendance, achievement (growth), and behavior which through my program is reflected by The Big 3 and Me: Treat Others Right, Make Smart Decisions, and Maximize Your Potential.
As parents, you are the most important people in your child’s life; therefore, we need to work together for the benefit of your child. Your support is very much needed in helping your child to be a successful student this year. The belief that every individual child is special and capable of learning lies at the heart of the school counseling program at CES. Success in your child’s education is a team effort, and together we can make a difference. As parents, you and/or teachers may refer your child to me throughout the school year.
I am looking forward to another great year at CES!
