My name is Ashley L. Young and I am seasoned teacher in my third year in the Madison School District. Currently, I teach U.S. History, Advanced Placement U.S. History and this year African American Studies at Ridgeland High School. I will be going into my 11th year of teaching. I have taught in several diverse districts in Mississippi. I graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor’s in Arts in Sciences in Foreign languages French from Mississippi State University. I received a Master’s degree in Teaching also from Mississippi State University. I have sponsored and led student groups which would include: Drama Club, French Society, and Cheer. I am personally excited and grateful to be teaching in the Ridgeland Zone - Titan Country! I hope to use my personal experience and skills to help students to become life-long learners and true historians. I also hope to build lasting

bonds of successful relationships to strengthen the Ridgeland community.
