I am a veteran teacher of 20 years. I have spent the past 15 years focused on solely teaching Language Arts. My family consists of my husband, Hunter, and my two children, Davis and Alice. I love to read, paint, shop and play tennis.

This course will target students’ growth in the areas of reading, writing, listening, speaking, discussion, reflection, and viewing. Reading strategies, critical thinking skills, and vocabulary building comprise the main elements of reading instruction. Through fiction, non-fiction, and poetry reading, students will practice reading strategies and skills that promote comprehension. The focus of writing will be on narrative, informational, and argumentative formats. The overall goal of the class is to increase the literacy and writing ability of all students.
