 7th Grade English Language Arts 

Welcome to 7th grade Language Arts.

I am a veteran teacher of 19 years. I have spent the past 14 years focused on solely teaching Language Arts. My family consists of my husband, Hunter,  and my two children, Davis and Alice. I love to read, shop and play tennis.

This course will target students’ growth in the areas of reading, writing, listening, speaking, discussion, reflection, and viewing. Reading strategies, critical thinking skills, and vocabulary building comprise the main elements of reading instructions. Through fiction, non- fiction, and poetry reading, students will practice reading strategies and comprehension skills. The focus of writing will be on narrative, informational, and argumentative writing. The overall goal of the class is to increase the literacy and writing ability of students.
