Good afternoon Germantown Middle School family. I hope everyone is having a great week. I want to remind parents that Monday, October 12, 2020 will be a holiday and the school will be closed for the day.  I want to clarify how Tuesday, October 13, 2020 will look for instruction for our face to face students. Germantown Middle School will run a distance learning “A” day for students who have been reporting to GMS daily. Face to Face students will stay at home on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 and log in to a scheduled TEAMS conference. Teachers have trained students how to log on in their regular classes. Virtual enrolled students that have not been reporting to the school will log on to Canvas at the regular class times for a pre-recorded lesson. Face to Face students will follow the following schedule:

    1st block starts @ 8:30

    2nd block starts @ 10:00

    3rd block starts @ 12:30

Welcome to a fantastic year at GMS! This is my 9th year teaching and my second at Germantown Middle School. I taught 7th grade ELA for 4 years in Houma, Louisiana and 6th grade ELA, Science, and Social Studies for 3 years in Fairhope, Alabama. I have a Masters of Education from Northwestern State University of Louisiana. As teaching is a second career for me, I also have an Animal Science degree and a Masters of Agribusiness Management from Mississippi State University.

My husband, Tommy, and I have 3 beautiful children (Ashby, Thomas, and Robert) who will be attending GMS, Mannsdale Upper and Lower. We are very excited to return to the area and become involved in Madison County. Please share with me your favorite places to shop and eat so that we can try new things! I also love to read, watch my kids play sports, travel, and worship at our church.

Please contact me anytime with questions or concerns.

I am looking forward to a fantastic year and getting to know all of my students!
