Degrees and Certifications:

Dr. LaTrina Smith

Ninth grade is such an exciting time in students' educational careers.  It is also a very transitional year.  We will work together to ensure that students have a very smooth transition into high school. I look forward to working with each student to make the 2021-2022 school year great!

I am in my 15th year of teaching and my third year in Madison County Schools.  I have a bachelor's degree from Mississippi Valley State University, a master's in Education from Belhaven, a specialist in Educational Leadership, and a doctorate degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Mississippi College.

In my spare time, I love traveling with my family. We have two daughters.  One who is in her second year of college and one 7th grader.  I also like to put together 500+ piece puzzles and play games for relaxation.  I really love grapefruits and reality TV.

All classroom assignments will be listed on my Canvas course page.  I can be reached by email at latrina.smith@madison-schools.com and/or by telephone at 601-605-0054.
