Hello Madison Station Jaguars! My name is Mrs. Kristin Wilson, and I will be your fifth grade ELA and social studies teacher this year. I am beyond excited to meet each and every one of you; this is going to be a great year!
This is my twelfth year teaching ELA; I started my teaching career in Illinois in a sixth grade classroom and taught for ten years. My husband owns a company, and it relocated our family to Tennessee where I taught third grade for one year. The company made its final transfer to Madison, MS, and I am so blessed to have the opportunity to join the Jaguar team at Madison Station Elementary. My husband and I have two daughters, Belle Elizabeth and Juliette Ava. Belle will be in first grade here at Madison Station, and Juliette will attend preschool for one more year before starting kindergarten here as well. We moved to Madison at the end of May, and we absolutely love it here! We have two English bulldogs, Dozer and Ruby, that you will often hear funny stories about.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy crafting and photography. I love to do art projects with my children, especially if they have glitter! I am a self-taught photographer, and my children and bulldogs are my usual subjects. I love capturing every moment I can! In addition to my hobbies, I love vacationing at Disneyworld and the beach. I love anything and everything Disney; it is my happy place! The beach is my favorite place to relax and slow down.
I look forward to learning more about each of you this year. Let's make fifth grade a year to remember!
