    Hello! 

    Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! 

    My name is Mrs. Blount and I am thrilled to be your second grade teacher this year!  This year is going to be amazing.  We will learn something new every single day, and have fun in the process. 

     I received an Elementary education degree from Belhaven College in 2002, and a Master's Degree from Delta State University. I also hold a library media specialist certification (I LOVE TO READ). This will be my seventeeth year to teach elementary education, and my third year to teach second grade at EFE! I have two children; Hayden will be in 6th grade this year, and Scarlett will be in 2nd grade. We have a two beagles, Dottie and Daisy, and we also have five cats. 

    It is going to be a wonderful year! I can't wait to meet you!
