Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Sadara Evans

Hello, Mannsdale!  Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year!  I'm excited to be starting my first year in Madison County Schools with you.  I'm a recent transplant to Mississippi from Missouri and am loving every minute of life in the south.  I live in the Belhaven area of Jackson with my husband Nick and our three cats Gertie, Pete and Queso.  We really enjoy going to the farmer's market, cooking and trying out local restaurants.  I also love to paint with watercolors and practice yoga.

I received my both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Art Education from the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO.  I've been teaching art for the past 6 years at the high school level.  In addition, I worked for a local art gallery teaching arts-based summer camps and outreach programs to elementary age children.

I'm so passionate about creativity and the arts and can't wait to bring that excitement to my art classroom this year.  In art, you can expect your children to learn basic skills and techniques for using materials as well as lots of opportunities for them to learn by experience.

If you would like to contribute to the arts at Mannsdale, please check out my Amazon wishlist where you can find and purchase items that are needed in the art room.
