Welcome to 2nd Grade!
My name is Lisa Carron, and I am thrilled to be your child's second grade teacher! I am new to East Flora, but not new to teaching; I have taught in New Orleans, Virginia Beach, Jackson, and now Madison. I have eleven years of classroom experience, with three of those as a reading resource teacher. I received my B.A. from Tulane University, an M.S. from Loyola University in New Orleans, and another master's degree from the College of William and Mary in Virginia. I love being in school and really enjoy being with the children! I cannot wait to meet my new group in August!
I am married to a wonderful man, and we have two boys, Christopher (17) and Andrew (14). They both enjoy sports, so this takes up most of my free time. My youngest plays football, basketball, and baseball and my oldest plays baseball. My oldest child will start college this year at Rhodes in Memphis. I am originally from New Orleans, and I visit the city as much as I can. I am an avid Saints fan, and enjoy going to the Superdome on Sunday afternoons in the fall.
When I am not at a game somewhere, I love going to the beach, playing the piano (although I'm not very good at it), and playing with my beautiful German Shepherd, Pepper.
I plan to post resources on this website frequently, as sometimes papers can get lost in the shuffle between school and home. Please feel free to email/text/call me at any time if you have a concern about your child. I will answer all communications within twenty-four hours. If you have an immediate need, please call the school office, as I only check email once a day.
I look forward to meeting you in August!
