• Hello! I am Tessa Carter and I am beyond thrilled to begin my seventh year here at GMS as a Resource teacher!

    GO MAVS!

    A Little Bit About Me:

I grew up in the Madison/Ridgeland area attending Ridgeland public schools and graduated from Ridgeland High School in 2009. I attended Holmes Community College for three years where I was involved in a number of different activities such as band, color guard, cheer, choir and show choir. I then transferred to Mississippi State University (GO DAWGS!) where I decided to become a Special Education Teacher. After graduating from MSU in December 2014 I moved back home and got married to my husband, Mason and we had our daughter, Charleigh, who is now 5 and our son Gatlin who will be 1 in October. Upon moving home I began working at Yazoo County Middle School where I taught both sixth and seventh grade Inclusion/Tutorial. Along with my teaching duties, I was a cheerleading coach and color guard coach. I am now preparing for my seventh year here at GMS and looking forward to getting the year started and getting to know each and every one of you! If at any time you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach me via e-mail or School Status.
