• Greetings!

I want to give each of you a warm welcome as you visit my site. My name is Coach Cliburn and this will be my fourth year teaching at Madison Central High. I am extremely excited to teach here and even more excited to have your child. I will be serving as a  Special Education Resource Teacher and the name is fitting because each student is special and has different gifts and abilities he or she can contribute inside as well as outside of the classroom. If you ever have any questions or concerns the quickest way to reach me is through my email lcliburn@madison-schools.com. Once again I look forward to this school year which will be fun filled and full of energy and your student will leave not only a smarter person but my goal is to always help students reach their full potential and to become a better human being in general.

I just want to give a little background information about myself. I graduated from the University of Mississippi with a degree in Secondary Education and have minors in Psychology, Sociology, and History. This is my fifth year teaching. I started teaching for Desoto County Schools five years ago but when I was offered the position at Madison Central I immediately accepted it because I believe Madison Central has not only the best students but the best faculty and staff. I love being around all of my coworkers and consider them my family. I am truly blessed to work with such a fun, loving, energetic, and intellectual group of people. I was recently married in November to my lovely wife Allison, who is also a teacher, except she teaches the younger students. We were married by one of my bosses and the 11th grade Principal Mr. Davis which was very honoring. With the virus shutting everything down, we were finally able to take our honeymoon trip this summer to the Virgin Islands where we had a relaxing time. She is a Ms State fan while I am an Ole Miss fan and she is a Dallas Cowboys fans whereas I am a New York Giants fan. Life can be tense during football season! We have two children who have four legs and their names are Barkley and Brandy and they are Boston Terriers. In my spare time I am usually in the gym because I diet and train all year long and then compete in bodybuilding shows during the summer. I am also involved with the church I attend and I believe in showing grace and mercy on a daily basis. I believe in treating all people with respect and simply being a servant to everyone. If you have anymore questions about me feel free to ask.

    God Bless!

    Coach Cliburn
