    Mr. Cofield serves as our principal.  He has over 30 years of experience in education, with 19 of those in administration. In addition to serving as the lead principal of Rosa Scott, he has served as an assistant principal at Madison Middle School and head principal at the Academic Options Center of Madison County Schools. 

    “I am honored and privileged to be the principal of Rosa Scott,” said Mr. Cofield, “Rosa Scott has been committed to excellence for a long time, and I'm glad to be a part of this team.”

    Rosa Scott School is the ninth-grade center of the Jaguar Zone of Madison County Schools, serving approximately 420 students this year.  Mr. Cofield earned his Masters Degree in Kinesiology from Southern Arkansas University and obtained a Masters in Ed. Leadership from Mississippi College. This former coach enjoys playing golf and watching basketball. football and baseball. He cheers for the Jaguars and the Ole Miss Rebels.

    He and his wife Stacy have three children,  who are all graduates of the Jaguar Zone of Madison County Schools. Morgan is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and currently resides in New York City. Josh is attending the University of Mississippi and Ryan is a sophomore at Holmes Community College.
