Welcome to Mrs. Jacobs' Kindergarten Classroom!!
All About Mrs. Jacobs:
Hi! My name is Anelyse Jacobs. I am originally from Vicksburg, Mississippi. My husband, Robert, and I have three beautiful children: Keegan (13), Ann Thomas (11), and Julia (4). We also have four "fur" babies named Sampson, (the cat), Jake & Delta (the dogs), and Caesar (the guinea pig). Our family attends Meadowbrook Church in Jackson.
This will be my seventeenth year in the classroom. I have previously taught kindergarten and first grade. I graduated from Ole Miss with a degree in print journalism. After working for a weekly publication in New Orleans, I made the decision to go back to school to get a degree in elementary education. I have taught in the Jackson Public School District, Lamar County School District, St. Richard Catholic School, and Madison County School District. I am thrilled to be back in the Madison County Schools, especially at Mannsdale Elementary!!!
Some of my favorite things are spending time with my family, reading, the beach, eating spicy foods and Ole Miss football!!! I am also a previous member of the Junior League of Jackson and loved serving as co-chair for JPS summer camp.
We are going to have an amazing year. We will be learning a lot and having fun along the way. I look forward to meeting all of my new students and parents. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me or email me.
