It is such an honor to work in this amazing school with these wonderful students! This is my 25th year to teach band, and I am looking forward to many more!  A little about me- I am from Yazoo City and received my Bachelors in Music Education from Delta State University in 1998.  I have a Masters degree in Educational Leadership and a Specialists degree in Instructional Leadership.  I have a passion for teaching students and helping them realize their full potential.

At Madison Central, I assist with the High School band program and conduct the Concert Band.  I also teach beginner saxophones at  Madison Middle School and 7th grade woodwinds.   I look forward to helping in any capacity that I can.

I am a member of the MS Band Directors Association, Phi Beta Mu, and the American School Band Directors Association.  I have been a clinician for honor bands all over the state, and I am a member of the state superintendent of education's teacher advisory council.  I am a National Board Certified Teacher and mentor for student teachers.

I have 2 children who graduated from Madison Central in 2019.  Kaitlyn is an elementary education major at Ole Miss and Peyton is a music major at the University of Southern MS.  When I am not teaching, I love to cook, garden, read and take care of my box turtle, Claudia! :)
