It is such an honor to work in this amazing school with these wonderful students! This is my 26th year to teach band, and I am looking forward to many more!  A little about me- I am from Yazoo City and received my Bachelors in Music Education from Delta State University in 1998.  I have a Masters degree in Educational Leadership and a Specialists degree in Instructional Leadership.  I have a passion for teaching students and helping them realize their full potential.

At Madison Central, I assist with the High School band program and conduct the Concert Band.  I also teach beginner saxophones at  Madison Middle School and 7th grade woodwinds.   I look forward to helping in any capacity that I can.

I am a member of the MS Band Directors Association, Phi Beta Mu, and the American School Band Directors Association.  I have been a clinician for honor bands all over the state, and I am a member of the state superintendent of education's teacher advisory council.  I am a National Board Certified Teacher and mentor for student teachers.

I have 2 children who graduated from Madison Central in 2019.  Kaitlyn is in graduate school working on her masters in secondary education at Ole Miss and Peyton is  working at Lakeside Middle School in Cumming, GA as a band director. When I am not teaching, I love to cook, garden, read and take long walks.
