Business: I am Coach Lovitt. I was born in Louisiana, but spent the second half of my childhood in Kentucky & Mississippi. I graduated High School from Madison Ridgeland Academy & then attended Ole Miss, where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in English Education & competed in 4 challenging, wonderful years of SEC Track & Cross Country. After graduation, I moved to Atlanta & enjoyed a year of collegiate coaching at Georgia Tech. Now, I begin my teaching career at Madison Central, and am also assistant coaching the Track & Cross Country teams. This job is a blissful opportunity for me, not only because of Madison Central's upstanding reputation, but also because books and running are two things that have brought me perpetual joy since childhood. Every student deserves the chance to explore and develop their thoughts & voice through reading & writing(& running, if you'd like to come out for the coolest team on campus).
Personal: My interests include running, art, music, reading, writing, coffee, & comedy. I have one younger sister, who is much taller & smarter than I am. I have an awesome fiancé, who somehow manages to make a long distance relationship a cake walk as he attends graduate school & runs at UC Berkley. My best buddy is my dalmatian, Lou Dog, who serves as a reliable running partner when I'm not with the Jaguars. He's what I call a pace pusher. Favorite food: Apples(yes, students, bring me those) Favorite Holiday: Halloween Favorite writer: Hunter S. Thompson
