  • I hope my page finds you in the middle of a fantastic day!

My name is Mrs. Borho, and I have the joy of teaching my absolute favorite area of study! Social Studies is a multidisciplinary subject that pushes us to think, function, and ultimately make a difference in society by finding personal connections between ourselves, events, and people in the past, present, and future. My goal is just that: to help your student learn about the world around them, as well as be able to formatively make connections between the various areas of social studies we cover and their own personal experiences.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in History with a double major in English Writing from Mississippi College in 2014. (Go Choctaws!) I spent several years serving Mississippi College as an Admissions Counselor, helping high school students through their college decision-making journey, as well as guiding their families through the financial aid and admissions process. I have also served The Partnership for a Healthy Mississippi as the statewide Youth Programs Coordinator, working with 7th-12th graders in tobacco education and prevention and developing curriculum for the youth across our state. Working with students and pushing them to be the best version of themselves is my ultimate passion, which is what led me to teaching. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for two years, and am currently pursuing an M.Ed. in School Counseling. I am passionate for the education and betterment of our youth, and am ecstatic to begin this semester with your student in my classroom!

In Mrs. Borho's class, we make efforts, not excuses. We respect each other, and aren't afraid to take risks. We are smart, capable, and understand that responsibility and hard work are the keys to success. You'll find several resources such as how to sign up for our class's 'Remind101' and the 'Class Updates & Homework Blog' to the left of this home page. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns, and I will reply as soon as I am able!

    All the best,

    Mrs. Borho
