I hope my page finds you in the middle of a fantastic day!
My name is Mrs. Borho, and I have the joy of serving as the school counselor for students whose last names begin with A-L.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in History & English Writing from Mississippi College. I have served as an Admissions Counselor for Mississippi College and have also been a Youth Programs Coordinator within non-profit state programming. Working with students and pushing them to be the best version of themselves is my ultimate passion, which is what led me to the fields of education and counseling. Prior to earning my M.Ed. in School Counseling from Mississippi College, I taught social studies here at Olde Towne Middle School. (GO TITANS!!!) I have been married to my husband, Andrew, for three years and have a corgi named Windsor.
I am excited to serve our Titan family as a school counselor this year! My goal is to assist students in navigating the choices, challenges, and opportunities amidst their middle school journey while fostering personal, social-emotional, and academic growth. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns!
All the best,
Mrs. Borho
EMOGERS: "Emotion Managers" are practical methods that help us manage and calm our emotions. Emogers are practiced through movements and gestures to remember different ways to feel better when we feel really angry, sad, scared, excited, or any other emotion that is not helping us. This helps connect what we feel in our bodies with what we understand in our brains, and then we are able to make choices that are safe for ourselves and those around us.
