Hello, my name is Makesha Page and I am super excited about teaching Science at Olde Towne Middle School for the 2017-2018 school year. Although this is my first year with the Madison County School District, I currently have 12 years of teaching experience in grades 6 - 8. I began my teaching career in 2005 in the Jackson Public School District where I remained through the end of the 2016-2017 school year. In regards to my education, I received a Bachelor's Degree in Biology Pre-Medicine from Jackson State University in 2000 and then went on to receive a Master's Degree in Teaching in 2008.

I have two sons. My oldest is a sophomore in high school and my youngest is just beginning middle school. When I'm not in the classroom, I like to spend time with family, travel across the U.S., do arts and crafts and read anything that contains the word "SCIENCE."

This academic school year,  I have been afforded the opportunity to teach five sections of 6th grade Integrated Science and one section of 8th grade Biology. I am really looking forward to educating, motivating, inspiring, guiding, and mentoring your children. After all, this is my purpose and my passion! This is why I TEACH!
