Josh is in his eleventh year of teaching in the Madison County School District and his eighth year in the Germantown Zone. He serves as an Assistant Band Director, Percussion Co-Director, and the Transportation and Equipment Manager for the Germantown Band Program. During his time at Germantown, the band has won 2017 Grand Champions and first place percussion at the MHSAA State Marching Championships. Germantown Indoor Percussion recieved the Mississippi Indoor Association's Gold medal and were named Open Class Champions for the 2024 season. During their second appearance at WGI (Winterguard International) Germantown Indoor Percussion were named Regional Final Champions at the Jackson Regional.
Josh was a member of The Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps from 2009-2011, where he played snare drum and served as section leader. Josh also spent his college years assisting as an instructor for several local schools. A two-year member of the Mississippi Lions All-State Band, Josh served as the Assistant Percussion Director in 2017 and the Percussion Director in 2018. The Mississippi Lions All-State Band won the International Parade in both Chicago, IL and Las Vegas, NV while Josh served as a director. He also regularly judges All-State Percussion auditions each year.
Josh Craft received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Mississippi College and a Masters of Music Education degree at William Carey University. Josh resides in Madison, MS with his wife, Amy, son, Lathan, daughter, Elaina their dog, Remo.
