Dear Parents, Students, and Friends,
Welcome to 4th grade! I am Mrs. Carroll, and I am so excited about being your math teacher this year at Madison Crossing Elementary! I am blessed to be a teacher here and call this place home. Go Mavs!
A little bit about me... I was raised in Tupelo, MS and graduated from Tupelo High School. Being born and raised a bulldog, I attended college at Mississippi State University (Hail State!) in Starkville, MS. There I earned my Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education.
In February of 2017, I married my sweet husband, Blake, who was born and raised in Madison. We reside in the Gluckstadt area with our fur-baby, Louie, and our baby boy, Sully. I'm confident your child will get the chance to hear all about these bundles of joy this year!
Parent communication is very important to me. A successful classroom starts with involved and informed parents/guardians. With that being said, email is the best and quickest form of communication with me. Please email me at email@example.com. You can also communicate with me through the messaging tool on Class Dojo. Please do not forget to check our weekly newsletters for vital information regarding school announcements, upcoming tests, content being taught, etc.
Through my elementary years, I had many teachers who made a difference in my life. Many teachers who created a love of learning in me. They are the reason I am a teacher today. As an educator, I enjoy making learning fun through enriching, creative experiences. All that to say, my number one goal this year is to instill a love of learning, the same that was instilled in me, that will last throughout your child's schooling. Your child will learn a lot this year in math, and fourth grade can be a challenging year. It is important that you let me know if you feel that your child is not reaching his/her ability. If we work together, there is no reason your child cannot have a very rewarding fourth grade year. I am overjoyed to begin teaching your child! There are so many fun memories to be made!
