It's a great day to be a Titan here at Olde Towne Middle School!

Hi!  My name is Jennifer Hemphill, and I am a resource/inclusion teacher for 8th grade.  This is my fifteenth year in the education field, and I am excited to be a part of your child's middle school journey. I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child.  If you ever have a question or concern, please do not hesitate to contact me.
I have a bachelor's degree from Oglethorpe University and a Master's degree from Tulane University. I moved to Mississippi when I married my husband, and we have two beautiful children. My daughter is a junior at NWRHS, and my son is a freshman there.
Students in my class will need to have a spiral notebook, a pocket folder, and their planner everyday.  The notebook and folder will be left in my classroom, but the planner must be brought everyday. Organization equals effectiveness and eases our stress levels.  We will strive to work on increasing our language skills; reading is the key!
In my classroom I stress the importance of hard work and have asked your students to help me help them.  I have high expectations, and I want nothing less than the best from your child.  I will do my best for them and for you!
PARENTS: Do you have an active parent account so that you can follow your child's grades?  If not, it's just a phone call away.  Please call the school to request your account.  It is strongly encouraged for all parents to have an account in order to follow student progress.
    Be BLUE:
    Be prepared.
    Learn actively.
    Uphold excellence.
    Earn and give respect.
